Nicolò Umberto Foron is a young Italian-German conductor who currently serves as assistant to the principal conductors of the London Symphony Orchestra and the Ensemble Intercontemporain in Paris. In March 2023, he won first prize at the Donatella Flick International Conducting Competition in London, and in 2021, he won first prize at the International Conducting Competition Jeunesses Musicales in Bucharest, where Peter Eötvös selected him for the mentoring program. In August 2023, he was awarded the Artist in Residence Förderpreis Deutschlandfunk as Young German Artist of the Year—an honor given for the first time to a conductor. He subsequently completed a concert tour with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and recorded a CD co-produced and broadcast live by the German national radio Deutschlandfunk. He has conducted over 50 world premieres and several operas, including semi-staged productions of The Marriage of Figaro, Hansel and Gretel (Staatskapelle Weimar), and the operetta Jettchen Gebert by Walter Kollo (Musikalische Komödie Leipzig).

Mira Foron, who has participated in all various Jugend musiziert competitions including the national finals, has earned podium placements at international competitions such as Premio Città di Padova and FLAME in Paris, Andrea Postacchini in Fermo, as well as the Swiss Charity Award. At the age of 14, Mira made her debut at the Tonhalle Zürich performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto. Just two years later, she was selected to represent Germany at the Eurovision Young Musicians competition in Edinburgh, performing with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra conducted by Thomas Dausgaard. After winning the gold medal at the Manhattan International Music Competition, Mira Foron won the First Grand Prix at both the Berlin International Music Competition and the Vienna Music Competition, debuting at the Berlin Philharmonie and the Vienna Konzerthaus. She was invited by Anne-Sophie Mutter to perform as part of the Jubilee Concerts at the Salzburg Festival and the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden. She has received scholarships from the Fonds Instrumental Français, the Baden-Württemberg State Foundation, and the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben. She plays a violin built in Milan in 1710 by Carlo Giuseppe Testore.
