"Da Blechhauf’n" – Austrian for "The Brass Heap," abbreviated as "BH," is a brass music group from Austria. The group came together through playing music together in a music club and during their free time in Neckenmarkt, located in central Burgenland. The first official concert took place in 2000, and since its formation, they have performed around 1.000 concerts across the entire German-speaking region, including the Netherlands and Italy. Three of the musicians are from Burgenland, three from Styria, and one from Carinthia. Since the founding of the Woodstock of Brass Music in 2011, they have performed annually at the brass music festival. From 2013 to 2019, the live ensemble "da Blechhauf’n XXL," which included an electric guitar and drums, also existed. Additionally, together with the Swiss singer and performer Erika Stucky, there was the formation "Wally & the 7 Geier." "Da Blechhauf’n" has now produced a total of 9 albums and has appeared on various music programs such as "Mei liabste Weis," "Klingendes Österreich," "Die Wirtshausmusikanten," and "Servus TV Musikantenstammtisch." In addition to virtuosic instrumental pieces, "da Blechhauf’n" also performs works with vocals and slapstick elements. Therefore, an evening concert not only functions as a concert but also as a music cabaret.
